Crawling Insects
There are a huge number of insect which can, from time to time, be pests. These include, ants, cockroaches (2 species are common in Britain, the oriental cockroach and the German cockroach), silverfish, springtails, earwigs, domestic crickets, book lice and a wide range of beetle pests including carpet beetles, biscuit beetles, spider beetles, plaster beetles and larder beetles. Many beetles are pests of bulk stored foods and can occasionally be found in domestic kitchens. The more common of these include rice weevils and grain weevils, saw toothed grain beetles, flour beetles and khapra beetles.
